Fairygodboss, a New York, NY-based career community for women, has raised $3 million in VC funding. If the company is new to you, think of them as Glassdoor-for-women.
The round was led by GSV Acceleration. GSV’s Deborah Quazzo is joining the board, in conjunction with the funding. The company plans to use the funds to build the product and the team.
Founded in 2015 by Georgene Huang and Romy Newman, Fairygodboss provides women with a platform featuring crowdsourced reviews, career advice, interview tips and job search strategies. The company currently has a staff of more than 20 employees.
